Rosas T’ica

This design means rose flowers. In Ccollana, a community in the region of Cusco, it is a reference to a medicinal flower that rural people use to treat eye infections. These roses are also used in floral baths (a ritual bath) and healing practices, which rural people may use to treat frightened children or elders who experience depression (mal de nervios) (Proyecto Corredor Puno-Cusco 2005).
